Galera...

Instalei linux (Ubuntu 8.04) no meu laptop e ja baixei o eclipse 3.2
No windows eu programava com Viual Editor (awt, swt e swing)

Gostaria de saber como instalar o visual editor no linux etc...

instala ele como se instalam os outros plugins do eclipse
no site do visual editor devem ter instruções

O problema meu foram as permissões. Me bati mas consegui instalar.



Siga os passos diste link, basta baixar os arquivos e instalar em features e plugins. Mas o principal problema é de permissões

Leia principalmente esta parte, com o update direto do site não deu certo, tive que baixar os arquivos e colar nas pastar plugins e features de /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins e /usr/lib/eclipse/features

You will also need to download the matching version of GEF and EMF. The download page will give this information for you. Exit Eclipse and unzip into the directory that eclipse is installed into.
