.faces retorna Tipo Arquivo Desconhecido

Boa tarde pessoal,

 Minha aplicação estava rodando normalmente meus JSF com Richfaces e Facelets... quando DO NADA o servidor parou de abrir as páginas .faces não encontrando o tipo de arquivo. Pois qdo chamo a página, ex. index.faces, o navegador disponibiliza a página para download como tipo de arquivo desconhecido.

O que pode ser ? Já tentei diversas alterações… e meu web.xml está configurado normalmente.
