APPLET gravando um COOKIE

Pessoal.
Sou novo em java e estou precisando gravar uma informação no cookie através de um applet mas o exemplo que encontrei, não consigo compilar porque não encontra a classe JSObject.
Segundo encontrei na internet, eu preciso do java40.jar, da netscape mas encontrei uma referência dizendo que a classe está no C:\Sun\SDK\jdk\jre\lib, dentro do plugin.jar. Realmente está lá mas não estou acertando colocar o comando import. No plugin.jar, está dentro do diretório netscape\javascript.

Como faço para o programa “enxergar” a classe ? Poderiam me ajudar, por favor ?
