Atrituto ALT e ALTKEY do struts

O elemento html:button

pode ter os atributos alt e altkey, li a documentacao do struts mas nao entendi

documentacao:
alt = The alternate text for this element.
altkey = The message resources key of the alternate text for this element.

alguem pode me ajudar?

a diferença e que o Altkey ele pega um atributo do MessageResources, AplicationResources…Para facilitar a vida e nao ter que ficar mudando nomes em varios lugares (jsp)
