Gostaria de saber qual é a forma correta para configuro o MyFace no Netbeans.

Vc tem q colocar a lib do MyFaces no Libraries do NetBeans.

Bom eu coloquei os .jar no lib da minha aplicação, agora vc tem algum exemplo para usar o MyFaces
